Marshalls

#fabfound

Marshalls carries designer fashion at unbeatable prices. In order to get this message across in the digital space, we decided to get their fans to do the advertising for them. We created a contest through Facebook and Instagram where fans were encouraged to upload their finds for a chance to win weekly giftcards.

Building off the momentum of #fabfound, we created Project Fab, a group made up of our favorite fans and bloggers who were obsessed with Marshalls. Each month we sent them gift cards, fashion, and fashion-related challenges. They were directed to complete the challenges and blog about their finds on the Project Fab Tumblr site as well as their own blogs.

We continued to encourage fans to get the word out on Facebook by creating a 'Fab Factor' App. Fans would choose from a selection of items, including but not limited to products sold at Marshalls. The App would then analyze the fan's own Facebook profile for things like number of friends, social check-ins, fashion pics tagged with #fabound, etc. Based on the fan's choices and their Facebook profile, the App would spit out a customized 'Fab Factor.' Shoppers were encouraged to post on their own Facebook pages, promoting participation from their friends.
